The disciples were understandably shocked at what Jesus was doing. They knew that normally only the lowliest people would wash people’s feet so were left wondering why Jesus was washing their feet. They even suggested that they should be the ones to wash Jesus’ feet, but through this simple act, Jesus taught us that we are to serve others.

In life, how are you washing people’s feet? Do you do the dishes or the laundry so your parents or significant other don’t have to? Do you make a meal for someone in need? Have you ever helped load groceries into someone’s car? What about walking someone across the street who struggles to do so on their own, or perhaps even opening the door for them? How about paying for someone else’s meal at the drive-through window, or buying someone a meal that couldn’t afford to? Are you supporting your friends and family on their hardest days, with simple gestures like listening, buying them their favourite sweets or encouraging them with advice?

If you have ever done any of those things then you have helped “wash people’s feet” by serving them, just like Jesus wanted us to.

Washing people’s feet means getting down and dirty, in the thick of things with people who need help. It means not thinking of yourself by being selfless, which can take a lot of discipline and patience.

You can ask God how you can best “wash people’s feet” with the gifts He gave you. Maybe you’re a great cook and can not only serve your family but also give to people in need. Maybe you see people at your church that might need help cleaning their homes and you step up to help out of the goodness of your heart. Maybe you have clothes that you don’t need anymore and want to donate to people who need them.

Serving in the church is another way you can wash people’s feet-by volunteering in any part of your church. Whether you sing in the praise team every week/weekend, cook meals for the church gatherings, help decorate the altar throughout the year or help with the soundboard, all of those things are ways that you are helping serve others and wash people’s feet. No matter where or how you volunteer at your church, you are making a difference in Jesus’ name. Just knowing that you’re helping others can move you to do even more wonderful things for people in your life and in your community.

God will bless you no matter what ways you choose to serve others. People may be surprised when you do something for them, just as the disciples were stunned at Jesus washing their feet. It’s ok if people are surprised by your actions. They may even ask you “what’s the catch?” You can reply, “I’m just doing what God has told me to do.” Talking about Jesus with them for those few seconds might spike their curiosity and it might also give you an opportunity to be a witness to them.

Right now, with the Coronavirus, we are overwhelmed with thoughts concerning our own health and that of our friends’ and family. And while the current events are scary, it’s important to ask ourselves, do we cry out in fear or hit our knees in prayer asking God for protection?

It can be hard not to be consumed by fear when we are facing so many unknowns, but we can surrender our fears and questions of the unknown to an all-knowing God. Remember that He already knew that our world would be turned upside down and that this virus would cause chaos among men. He knew that we would be wreaked with panic and fear but, He also knows that everything will eventually work out according to His plan. He tells us that everything will be ok in life and that we don’t have to be afraid because God is always with us.

Some Bible verses that remind of to seek God and His peace include:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”Deuteronomy 31:6

You don’t have to fear or dread anything because the Lord is with you at every step you take.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” Psalm 27:14

“No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.” Psalm 91:10

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm”. Ephesians 6:10-13

Remember the armour of God is to be worn at all times and at any time you feel the enemy creeping up on you. You can even quote the scriptures to combat his schemes and to stand firm in your faith.

“I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.” Psalm 16:8

Even during hard times, remember that He is always with you and knows what is best for you. Keep Him in the forefront of your life and your life will prosper.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Even with the chaos of this world, God is still the one in control of every situation. You don’t have to worry about how this will affect your job, your children, your finances, etc. If you feel yourself starting to worry about these things, turn to the Lord for peace. He is the One who can take away all your worries and strife. It doesn’t have to stop us from spending time with our family and friends. Hold them close to you and enjoy their company. We will all be ok. This virus has stopped our world for the time being, but it doesn’t have to stop our faith. Stand strong in the One who can and will work out things for the good of those who love Him!

Twice a day, a few times a week, a few times a day, everyday nonstop and then you complain in your sleep? What do you complain about? Your family situation, your finances, your search for inner peace, your love life, your lack of interest in school, your lack of interest or investment in your job?

Do you constantly sit there and overthink things until you’re literally crying your heart out and wallowing in your self-pity? Sure, everyone has those days and even those weeks where we would rather complain than do anything else. But complaining doesn’t help the situation, does it? How many times do you find yourself complaining and think about how much you don’t want to deal with the problem you’re facing?

In turn, not wanting to think about the problem only makes it even more difficult for you to face. So much energy is wasted on complaining about little things and turning molehills into mountains that we often get blinded to the beauty of life and the blessings of life that surround us. We refuse to look for anything good in our lives because there just doesn’t seem to be anything worth doing, or the effort to see things in life as beautiful just isn’t in you at the moment.

When we get down into that pit of misery and start thinking “oh poor, poor pitiful me”, it not only changes our mood, it changes our perspectives from “ I can do this and I can get through anything”, to a whiny voice inside our minds that wants us to sit there all day, every day and think about how bad life is for us. That is Satan. When you constantly complain about things in your life, whether they might be big or small things in your life, when you complain, you’re giving Satan control instead of turning to God for peace and answers.

Sure, we all have had days where the last thing we want to do is be told to get down on our knees and pray about everything. Some days the last thing we even want to do is think about bringing our problems to God. We might even begin to doubt His love for us or begin to turn our sufferings into the blame game. Instead of looking inwardly at ourselves, we turn right around and bash others for our shortcomings and our unhappiness.

Even worse, we might even bash God for our unhappiness by saying things like, “if you really loved me, why the heck are you letting me go through this?” “If you love me, why am I falling on hard financial times? How can you not let me have enough money to provide for the people I love?” “Why is my relationship suffering? How can you not be answering my prayers?” Satan loves to see us suffering and miserable. He hates it when we turn our suffering around and come to God. That is one of the most important things that we can ever do to help ourselves and our situation.

In my own experience, when I find myself complaining about something, it feels good to let off some steam and vent to myself. But it only lasts for a bit. Then I think, “well ok, now I’m tired and I just wasted all that time complaining when I could have been praying about it.”

Satan makes it feel good to complain. He loves to wear us out so much that we forget about how we can turn to God for anything and everything. Luckily after complaining even a bit, God normally wakes us up saying, “hey have you prayed about it as much as you’re complaining about it?! Hello. Turn to me I’m right here! I hear you complaining. Now let’s hear you pray instead.”

God doesn’t want us to complain all the time about life, day in and day out. He wants us to fall to our knees and pray about anything we have on our minds especially the things that worry us. We waste so much time complaining that we actually forget the true benefits of praying and the ultimate benefit of having a relationship with God.

So, stop letting Satan have control over your thoughts, your heart and over your life, and invite God into your heart, mind and your soul. Ask Him to turn your counterproductive thoughts into productive ones. Allow God to work in your life through prayer.

Prayer is the most amazing connection to God because we can call on Him any time, day or night. Don’t be afraid or too proud to turn to God and ask Him for help. Instead of always complaining, turn those negative thoughts into peace by praying. It takes much discipline to turn to God when you feel like complaining. It will make you a happier person and will change your perspective in life.

John 4:13-14

In John 4, he outlines the Samaritan woman meeting Jesus at the well, a piece I have written about previously on my blog. The story made me think about what her reaction might have been like when she realized that the man she was talking to was Jesus. Just think about how you might feel when you meet Jesus face to face for the first time. Do you think she might have felt overwhelmed? I do.

Just imagine how you’d feel meeting someone famous. Perhaps you would stop dead in your tracks or fall to your knees. Maybe you’d shake their hand or if they welcomed it, you might hug them and get their autograph. Maybe, you would respond by crying because you’d be so nervous and excited all at the same time. We never REALLY have any idea how we might respond until we’re in that situation.

If even the Samaritan woman was overwhelmed by her first encounter with Jesus, it’s fair to think that it is normal to feel overwhelmed by His presence in our lives too. Just look at all the goodness that He allows in our lives. His mercy and grace follow us everywhere and every day of our lives. We just have to surrender to Him and make the choice to accept Him in our lives each day.

Of course, meeting Jesus back then was and still is, even more, amazing than meeting your favourite celebrity and I am sure, we’d all would probably drop to our knees and bow in front of Him. Can you imagine walking down the street and being met by Jesus, or hearing the sermons He taught during His three-year ministry? Can you picture yourself being on the boat with Him and His disciples when they told Him that they were afraid of the storm? Can you imagine watching Him get taken into custody to be tried and judged before Pilate? Can you even fathom the utter torment He went through for all of us on the cross?

Jesus already knew who the Samaritan woman was, but she was honest and admitted to Him her faults and that she was a sinner, which must have taken a lot of guts. She also went on to say that she knew and believed that the Messiah would come again. Just imagine her reaction when He revealed that He was indeed the Messiah! She did the right thing and went and told others that she encountered and met Jesus and everyone believed her and went to see Him. Instead of being afraid of Him she went and told others that she had met Jesus.

This sermon was recently shared at church, and what I realized is that Jesus didn’t even need to make the journey to Samaria but He did because He was going to see that woman. Imagine your surprise if someone looked for you the way Jesus looked for the Samaritan woman. My pastor informed the congregation that the woman was considered an outcast among people in her community because she was an adulterer and the people there knew what she had done. Learning that Jesus specifically came looking for her, to talk with her and then told her the truth about who He was and that He was indeed the Messiah was incredible, but the fact that people actually listened to her when she went to tell is even more incredible.

When Jesus talked about living water, the woman thought He meant real water from the well. She asked Him to give her some of the living water so she didn’t have to come back at noon every day by herself to the well. Jesus was actually referring to the refreshing thirst-quenching ability to know Him as her personal Lord and Savior. He wanted her to know how to obtain that living water by believing in Him. He also gave her the opportunity to receive it. He gave her the opportunity of a lifetime to come to know Him personally and to tell others about Him and be a witness for Him.

Whenever a time comes for us to be a witness for Jesus, let’s jump at it too the way the woman at the well did.

If you’ve experienced an anxiety attack, remember, you’re not alone. You’ve come through each anxiety attack victorious no matter how long it took. However, you might feel as though your significant other does not understand the depth of your anxiety and find yourself struggling to explain to them how you’re feeling, especially during an anxiety or panic attack, when it’s difficult to put those feelings into words. I hoped that by writing this post, I could give you an inside look into my life and perhaps help someone who is struggling to share with their loved ones what they wish they could say, but just couldn’t.

When I have anxious thoughts and tell you about them, please don’t act like it’s annoying to you or roll your eyes. Please don’t act like “oh great, here we go again”. To me, my anxiety is all too real and I don’t need someone just brushing me off and telling me it’ll just go away. I don’t need someone telling me “to just stop worrying!”
Don’t you realize that if it were that simple, I wouldn’t even have the anxiety in the first place? I do my best to control my inner thoughts so that they don’t send me into an anxiety attack. But the fears that I have are real, so please don’t take away from that or make me feel like an inconvenience by brushing my feelings and fears off and telling me that, “everything will be better tomorrow” or that “you need to calm down”, or that “you need to relax.”

You say those phrases with the best of intentions, but really, they only make me shut down and feel stupid for having anxiety. Those comments make me withdraw from you, pushing me further and preventing me from wanting to tell you when or if I’m having a rough day. Those “innocent” words lead me to overthinking things and worrying that you’ll just blow me off the next time I am struggling to face my anxiety. Instead of feeling supported and like I can turn to you, I find myself questioning what’s the point in even saying anything because you will just think I’m overreacting. You may not understand it and perhaps it doesn’t seem like such a big deal but to me, it is something that impacts my life every day, more than anyone could ever possibly understand.

People who don’t have anxiety will never truly know what it feels like. It’s hard to explain what it’s like to worry and be anxious over the tiniest details in life. I wish for a second, you’d know what it feels like to feel the sudden loss of control, as the panic creeps in and for no reason at all, my world stops turning as I try desperately to gather my thoughts and remind myself of the things that ground me, all while trying hard not to be an inconvenience to you and your day! If only I could share a real glimpse into what it’s like, maybe then you’d understand.

I need you to just be there for me. I don’t expect you to have the right words or to tell me that things are going to be ok, because in my mind, at that moment, it couldn’t be farther from the truth. Saying that things are going to be ok only makes it worse for me because it makes me feel like I’m crazy for having anxiety in the first place. You don’t have to say anything to make me feel better – you don’t need to try to fix me, the situation or how I am feeling. Just hug me and be there for me. I need you to understand that this is my mind that I am struggling with. It might sound crazy to you, and perhaps sometimes the symptoms of anxiety might even look irrational to you, but for me, they are all too real.

I need you to understand my triggers. Sometimes, my anxiety looks a lot like me being reserved because I don’t feel like talking and don’t have any interest in doing the things that I usually enjoy. Other times, my anxiety looks a lot like me looking and acting nervous, so when I say I have an upset stomach, understand that I could be in the middle of an anxiety attack. If I say I’m tired, then let me close my eyes for a bit. If I don’t want to be cuddled don’t get defensive about it and don’t get mad at me. If I say I need to be left alone, be fair and let me be alone for a bit. Sometimes I just need space and it’s important to understand that the way I feel is not something I make up to attract attention or gain sympathy from anyone.

Yes, there have been many great days of feeling free from my anxiety. For that, I give God all the glory and praise because He is with me every step of the way. I know He hears my silent cries and knows my anxiety even better than I do. He is helping me through it day by day. Some days are difficult but thanks to Him there are fewer and fewer days of stress and more days of motivation and peace. I’m grateful for both His help and your help during my anxiety.

Understand that some days it’s a fight for me to feel ok, while on other days I feel completely calm. Sometimes my mind overpowers my reality. No matter how many times you might tell me that things will be ok, my mind makes me believe otherwise.

This might come across as harsh, but sometimes, I just really want you to understand my anxiety.

To the significant others of all the ones who suffer from anxiety, thank you for your unwavering devotional, loyalty and support. Thank you for never fully leaving our side. Thank you for trying your best to understand where we are coming from. To those struggling with anxiety- never ever give up the fight. You will be victorious.

Responding in a Christ-like nature means trying to understand things from the other person’s point of view. It sometimes requires a little bit of insight as to why they might be acting a certain way. Perhaps something in their life is stressing them out or they’re currently facing challenges that they’re feeling overwhelmed by. Maybe they don’t know how to deal with their emotions, or past traumas are preventing them from responding in a better way. Whatever the reason, do your best to respond to them in a Christ-like nature.

What is a Christ-like nature, you ask?

It means responding to them in love instead of retaliating. It means trying to see things from their point of view and taking the time to understand why they might be acting in a certain way. It’s important to remember that acting in a Christ-like nature doesn’t mean letting them walk all over you and take advantage of you. Try to be kind and understanding.

Some of the closest people in my life have contributed to my understanding of what it means to act in a Christ-like nature, including my dad, grandma, and my boyfriend, who have all taught me how to respond to people who have tried to hurt me. I have learnt through them, that when people go out of their way to hurt us, to respond by showering them in God’s love. Although it can be challenging, it is almost always worth it. After all, I’d rather be kind to people, than contribute to their pain.

Think about it for a few minutes. Who have you wronged in your life? Have you apologized to them? Did you become the bigger person and admit to them that you were wrong, even if it was painful or hard for you? Who has wronged you in your life? Did you ever forgive them the way Christ forgives you every day? When you become the bigger person and admit the wrongs you’ve done, you’re showing courage and strength of character. It takes a strong person to be the first one to admit that they were wrong and take responsibility for the things they have done.

When you take the time to remember that God forgives you every day for the sins that you’ve committed against Him, it makes you think about forgiving others. You can forgive them in the same way, no matter what they’ve done to you. Forgiveness is the key to peace in your heart. It takes time, courage and discipline to develop a Christ-like nature but it’s something you can work on every day!

It might be easier said than done, but stop allowing your circumstances to take a hold of your life, especially when there’s nothing more that you can do about them. Remember things like the traffic, the weather, how others react towards you, and their behaviour, is all OUT OF YOUR CONTROL and there is no point in stressing yourself out, especially when there’s nothing more you can do to change that.

Consider that when you start getting overwhelmed by the things that you can’t control, you end up losing yourself in your emotions, and your thoughts become scrambled, which can impact your reaction and how you feel. So, next time, when you find your thoughts are stopping you from seeing a situation straight, try taking a step away from whatever you are doing and spend some time recollecting yourself by doing the things that bring you joy and distract you from your worries, like going for a walk, listening to music, watching a movie, exercising, or reading your bible. Taking some time away can help clear your thoughts and might even help you see the situation from another side, that you might have been too frazzled to consider previously.

These days, people feel guilty for taking time off to gather their thoughts and work on themselves. Remember that often, when we feel frazzled, it’s a reminder that we need rest, and the best place to find rest is in Him. You should never feel guilty for taking time to recharge and focus on your mental health, especially in this day and age, when burn out is a very real problem.

God reminds us throughout the Bible that He wants you to take breaks and seek rest. He wants you to be able to find peace and content while handing Him all your worries and concerns and trusting Him to take care of it for you. Remember that He is always there, waiting for you and ready to carry the burdens of your day. Seek Him, and you’ll find rest.

Stop beating yourself up when you don’t always manage to get everything done in a day. Don’t drive yourself to mental anguish over your task list. Sometimes, our own expectations of ourselves are just too high and letting go of the need to control every aspect of your life is key to being happier, calmer and more content.

It is healthy to remember that no one is perfect except Jesus Himself and that it’s not necessary to put that kind of pressure on yourself, with the hope of achieving perfection. Jesus didn’t have to strive for perfection, because He was perfect already in every way. So why should you put the unneeded pressure and stress on yourself to be perfect in life, at work, in marriage, at home, with your kids, or in any aspect of your life? That constant nagging feeling to be perfect will eventually weigh you down, to the point where you will feel nothing but mental exhaustion. You don’t deserve to work yourself to death.

Don’t stress over the things you can’t control. Give them to God and find the peace and rest you need. He will lead you through your troubles, even when you don’t see the light yourself. Enjoy the times He tells you to take breaks in your life, instead of dismissing them and refusing them. He allows you to take breaks because He knows you need them.

Don’t get me wrong, it may be tough with everything that is going on in your life, but surrender your worries to God and trust him to deliver you from the challenges you face. Remember that worrying often robs you of the joy you get from the present.

Think about it for a second, what things are you worried about in your life right now? Are you thinking about the financial troubles you find yourself in? Perhaps your thoughts are consumed of a regret that you had in the past with someone? Maybe you find yourself fearing a presentation, meeting or interview? Do you find yourself worrying about your child’s life and their future? Or maybe, you’re stressing over your aging parents, a friend who faces her own challenges, or your partner who doesn’t seem to be coping with life.

Now, consider why you haven’t handed those worried to God. Maybe, you felt He wouldn’t listen to you or that He would turn His back on you? The good news is that He is always listening to you. Even when you aren’t calling out to Him, He hears and sees your tears. He hears when you come to Him in prayer. Take every anxious thought that you have and bring it to Him. Lay them down at the foot of the cross and release them from your mind and your heart.

Some Bible verses that help you not to worry are:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16

“Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22

“Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.” Proverbs 12:25

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4

“Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you-you of little faith? So, do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Mathew 6:25-34

Print these verses and let them serve as a reminder that God already knows what will happen every single day even before it happens. There is nothing that surprises Him or causes Him to rethink what He is doing. His plans for your life are the best-laid plans. Allow your Father to direct you on this path and learn to trust Him.

If he didn’t, you wouldn’t be here. Your purpose is very special and unique to you, and it takes guts and determination to figure out what that purpose is. But, if you put your trust in Him, God will help guide you in discovering your God-given talents and purpose.

Remember, you are enough for your friends. They want to be around you and they want to spend time with you, but more than that, your true friends want to see you succeed in life. They will encourage and help guide you in deciding which paths to take, all while cheering you on as you continue to achieve your goals throughout your journey. Remember, you are enough for your family. Your family will always be there for you! Through thick and thin, they are there to celebrate your achievements and pick you up when you fall. They love you and want nothing more than for you to succeed in life.

To those who feel like you’ll never get anywhere in life. You will. Never listen to the naysayers, even if it’s your own doubts that discourage you from following your purpose. Remember, that often, that little voice you hear, telling you that you can’t, is Satan trying to stop you from discovering your God-given talents, telling you that you aren’t enough with the hope that it will stop you. Satan wants you to believe that you will never accomplish anything or make anything of yourself. You might even find people saying things to discourage you but remember they are doing so out of jealousy. Jealous of all the things that you are on the cusp of accomplishing. Don’t let anyone’s jealousy stop you from working hard, instead use that as a drive to continue working towards your goals.

Of course, it can be difficult at times, especially when people aren’t supportive and their words bring you down, but that’s when you turn to God and remind yourself of how much you mean to HIM! If you allow their words to get to you, you will start to believe the lies and find yourself feeling discouraged. In these times, surround yourself with friends and family who remind you of how valuable you really are. More than that, spend time with God, and remember that you are His child. He made you in His image and know you by name.

God would not bring you this far in your life to not have your dreams, aspirations, and passions become a reality. If you have a dream and you work hard enough, He will help you make it happen.

To those who struggled in high school to get good grades, don’t let that define your journey! You’ve made it to the other side and now, you can decide and create the future you had always dreamt of. You are so much stronger than you think, so just keep believing in yourself and know that amazing things are waiting for you.

To those who are still in high school or college struggling to get the grades you need, hang in there. God will provide and give you the right teachers and professors to help you navigate through school. They will motivate, challenge and encourage you. Take each day as a learning experience and don’t ever give up!

To those who saw how others sailed through high school or college with honours and ease, stop worrying about them and getting caught up in comparison. They aren’t you. And their shine won’t dim yours! Celebrate their accomplishments and remember they don’t take away from your own achievements.

To those struggling to find a job, trust that the right job will come in time. Know that you’re exactly where you need to be, and when the time comes, God will provide you with the right job, in the right field, at the right company. Wherever you are supposed to be, you will get there – it might not always be in your time, but it will definitely be in God’s perfect time.

Remember, not to let doubt, anyone or anything stop you from doing the job that your heart longs for. If you want to become an astronaut, a doctor, or a nurse, go for it. If you want to work at McDonald’s, jump at the chance. Whatever if it is, put your mind to it, work hard and do it. The key is to do the things that set your heart on fire and bring you joy, so don’t make the mistake of following a career because someone expects you to, rather find the job that you love!

To those who are struggling with self-doubt, fear of failure, or, uncertainty, trust that things will turn around. Persevere and remember that everyone faces challenges! It may not always be in school or your career, but we all face our seasons and you’ll soon find that the difficult times help mould you into the person you’re meant to be, while the easier times let you flourish.

Always be proud of what you have overcome, instead of looking at how far you still have to go. And don’t forget to be grateful for the person you have become through your struggles, knowing that God has guided you to exactly where you need to be.
