02 Sep Power Of Seed
Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him. So all the wells that his father’s servant had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth. – Genesis 26:12-15 NIV.
This scripture illustrates that there was a famine in the land and that the Lord told Isaac not to go down to Egypt, but rather stay in the land that the Lord has placed him, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the area. Going through the entire chapter you will learn how Isaac obeyed and waxed greater. After he listened and planted in the dry season, he reaped a bumper harvest.
We have heard a lot of people moving from one place to another, looking for greener pastures. Remember that there is nothing wrong in wanting a beautiful life and moving to where He instructs. As children of God, it’s wise to seek from the Lord on the way forward. For where He leads, He provides.
Planting the right seeds in our lives works for us and brings productivity. Theses seeds include faith, knowledge, wisdom and understanding while also surrounding ourselves with the right people. What you spend the whole day taking in matters, some people will bring in seeds that will never germinate, so be wise.
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. – Ephesians 3:20 NIV.
