14 Oct The Lord Our Defence
Shadreck, Misheck and Abednego replied to the king O Nebuchadnezzar we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace the God we serve is able to save us from it, and He will rescue us from your hand O king. But even if He doesn’t we want you to know O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up. – Daniel 3:16-18 NIV
Like Daniel and his friends, so many of us are faced with dire situations in life, that will put us in compromising positions. But listen to me dear sister, there is nothing that the devil can put in our way, that our Father will not deliver us all from. All that he puts is just a mirage, so fear not, Child of God, for the greater one lives in you and you can never be disadvantaged.
Refuse to bow down to the issues of life, all that you are facing is temporary and bound to change. Be more like Daniel and boldly declare to the evil one that even if the Lord will not deliver us from these trials and tribulations, we will never bow down to his schemes, he is a liar and will always want to frustrate you in the journey of faith.
I have gone through so much in my life but have always noticed that all things that has challenged me, was made to help me grow in new ways. In some challenges, I found victory, while in others I grew weary but God was always faithful when l called unto Him, He would answer me and deliver me. I would endure it all knowing that He is on my side and victory is certain.
I know sometimes it may seem as if it will never come to an end, hear me well, dear, you can do it! Keep declaring and trusting in the name of Jesus for He never fails. The consuming fires of life will not set you ablaze for He lives in you, the one’s who made the fire will be quenched by it. God will surely see to it that you have prevailed, what God says that we shall speak and abide to.
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. – 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
Always know that what comes your way is not there to destroy you, rather it’s bread for you. Rise up, stand, fight and win in Jesus name.
