by Zeeva Usman Life is a journey full of ups and downs, but it's often in the lowest moments—when we feel as though we're walking through a valley—that we discover our true strength. The Bible is filled with stories of individuals who found their purpose and...

In my previous post, I wrote about how we may relate to God the Trinity, by briefly outlining how we may be image bearers of the Trinity through mind, body and spirit, which I would now like to unpack in more detail looking at us as image bearers of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Image Bearers of the Father

"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'" (Genesis 1:26 NIV). Something that strikes me in the above verse is how God made it clear to us in the very beginning that He existed as a self-sufficient community. It is not by accident that the pronoun “us” is used instead of “me” and points directly to God as the Holy Trinity. What is more, we are created in His image, which means we are three persons in one.
