"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'" (Genesis 1:26 NIV). Something that strikes me in the above verse is how God made it clear to us in the very beginning that He existed as a self-sufficient community. It is not by accident that the pronoun “us” is used instead of “me” and points directly to God as the Holy Trinity. What is more, we are created in His image, which means we are three persons in one.

Thursday the first of August is Cup of Faith's sixth birthday! It's been a beautiful, grace-filled challenge to pick up the website from Megan. I have loved getting to know our writers and our community over the past year. When we open our hearts and hands...

When I was in high school, I printed out a bunch of quotes about prayer and stuck them on the inside of my cupboard door. Quotes like:   “Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.” Oswald Chambers   “If I fail to...

"I am prayerful and I am joyful!" What a wonderful statement to make and ponder but in reality, some of us may be struggling to pray or perhaps you have questions:  To whom do I pray to?  How do I pray?  Why should I pray?  Do...

The Lord is their strength, And He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Save Your people, And bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever. Psalm 28:8-9 (NKJV)   I faced a situation recently that felt like adversity. Strong anger and indignation swirled in my heart as I thought...

This past Sunday during worship, I was moved by how wonderful and loving the Lord is and who it is we serve: my Creator King!  I wanted to share this worship song with you in the hope that it impacts you and gets you thinking...
