08 Jul A Friend In Jesus
A man of many companions may come to ruin, there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother – Proverbs 18:24 NIV.
The moment I invited Jesus Christ into my life, l became whole and l discovered that l have found a true companion, so full of love that it’s only Him who is precious and special to me. The one who died for me on the cross and rose again, for me to have life and to live it to the fullest.
I love to sing praises to God, honouring Him because there is no other name that l know in heaven and on earth that is more powerful than the name of Jesus. He took me from my deepest darkest world and brought me to a place that is flourishing full of milk and honey, where I’m not in control but I’m loved by the one who is.
A friend loves at all times, a brother is born for adversity. – Proverbs 17:17 NIV
I woke up one day and found that most of my associates had disappeared into thin air. Ladies, this was a wake-up call for my life, and l was left feeling devastated. Fear started to cripple me and I was surmounted by the negativities of life, but the Holy Spirit came to my rescue, and said ” Never in your life allow your mind to feed on the crippling negativity of this world, meditate and speak the word in your life, it works”, I listened and swiftly acted by shutting my doors to all the influences of the devil, and declaring what the word of God says about my life. Yes, you can learn through tribulations but there is so much to be gained and learnt through revelation too!
I boldly said “For the Lord has not given me a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7 NIV some versions say a sound mind.
When l was writing this message the Holy Spirit ministered to me that so many people are living in people’s shadows. They control all facets of your lives just because they feed you, clothe you or simply, support you. Dear sisters break the ground, break the griping chains, for your Savior and Redeemer lives. It is doable! He has got you covered and you are connected to a source that never runs dry – Jesus Christ.
You are complete in Him and He is the only place you can draw your strength from. Your associates are bound to give in, but Jesus said come to me all you who labour and l will give you rest. Whatever crossroads you might be in, even if you are left alone and fear starts to surmount, lift up your eyes to the hills for your help comes from the Lord. Your present situation doesn’t determine who you are, or where you are going. Stop blaming the people around you, your life and happiness are in your hands.
