09 Sep A Grateful Heart
The world is going through so much at the moment, and while boisterous winds are blowing, people everywhere are confused, living in fear of what tomorrow is going to be.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever, His faithfulness continues through all generations. – Psalm 100:4-5 NIV
So many of our sisters are depressed and are growing weary by the day. Some have even started to believe that the Lord is responsible for all that is going on in the world right now, and think that the Lord has left them and forsaken them. l am here to tell you that God is our Father, and will never leave us nor forsake His own. Remember that what is happening in the world is the result and works of the evil one, he is tearing apart homes, communities, countries and the universe at large.
But, be of good cheer, and have a grateful heart and mind. Once you start to operate in the realm of gratefulness, all your fear and anxiety will be gone. We have so many things to be grateful for, that the Lord has done for us all even through this challenging season. Let’s thank Him for the beautiful opportunities He has created in this time; the opportunity to reconnect with our faith, and loved ones, while still providing for our needs. We can also be grateful that He has given us the authority to be called His daughters, for He first loved us.
Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. – John 1:12 NIV
We are grateful that He gave up His one and only son to come and die for the whole world. Even if it was just you and me, in this world, still our Father would have sent Jesus to die for us. What a Mighty God we serve- He does so much for his His own, so let’s be grateful.
This too shall pass. He loves us so much that He would not let us perish in this pandemic. Some have even begun believing that this is the end times, but listen, my sister, it’s the works of the devil who wants to shorten our existence. Let’s not allow him to triumph over the children of God, we need to outweigh him with praises and a grateful heart, for our Father has done so much for us already.
I remember when countries went into lockdown, l was a bit overwhelmed and kept thinking how will we thrive? He said to me ” remember Elijah was fed by the Ravens” l was relieved in knowing He will fulfil my needs, even in the most trying times. I am delighted by such love and from that moment to date, my family and I meditate on Psalm 23 and 91 every day, and all we see is a life of glory upon glory, only because l refuse to dwell in the misery that the pandemic was bringing along, but instead focused on the word.
Be grateful you will encounter His visitation!
