26 Aug Psalm For My Life

“See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called children of God.”
1 John 3:1

You have been my guide since I was first formed,
To you, I was committed at birth,
From my mother’s womb, you are my God
… Born to be a Child of God.

A lamp to my feet is your word, O Lord,
Give me life according to your word,
Your decrees are my inheritance forever
… Teach me as a Child of God.

Head my prayer, O Lord,
To my cry give ear,
To my weeping be not deaf
… Comfort me as a Child of God.

Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
I confess my faults to the Lord,
And you took away the guilt of my sin
… Forgiven as a Child of God.

As soon as I lie down, I fall peacefully asleep,
For you alone, O Lord,
Bring security to my dwelling
… Peace for this Child of God.

One thing I ask of the Lord, this I seek,
To dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life
… Forever as a Child of God.

Just as God has created each one of us, so He wants to be with us throughout our lives, guiding us on our journey. Allow Him to show you the way.

I enjoy writing, quilting, gospel music, and being Oma to 8 precious grandchildren. We were a farming family, retiring to Medicine Hat, Alberta in 2000. My husband Tony, is the love of my life, and my faithfully patient caregiver. We have 3 adult children with families, and they are very supportive and loving.
