No matter the mountains and valleys ahead in the way let’s keep pressing towards the goal. When you fall down rise up and continue with the journey. Standing in one position will not produce results.

The greater one lives inside of you and all things are possible. God is your strength and He will always give you power to continue and win. All you might be facing is not there to kill you, it’s just a training ground of something great. As the saying goes; the greater the battle the greatest the victory is.

Philippians 3:13-13; Brothers do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing l do, forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead. I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heaven wards in Christ Jesus.

If you do what the pains and worries are pushing you to do, which is feeding them. You will be causing fear to dominate in your life. Rather, always do what the word of God says at least your victory this way will be certain. Always feed your faith by studying and meditating upon the word of God. The word works.

Do you not dwell much on the mistakes you have made and don’t feel pity for yourself. Learn from them, forget about them, all they are there as a lesson and stepping stone for a brighter tommorow. God will never forsake you, for He has never abandoned anyone. He is for you and nothing can be against you.

Joshua 1:9; Have l not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

If Jesus is the centre and Master of our lives, there is no need to fear what tommorow will bring. He holds our future and all things are possible.

Wanting to quit? Or you have tried so many routes and they are not promising maybe there is nothing good coming forth, try my Jesus. He will make you whole and change your destiny. He lifted me up from the deep muddy waters of life, He can rewrite your story as well. Don’t throw your towel in sis, He is able.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose – Romans 8:28 NIV

God is love and everything about Him is love. That’s why we found the Agape, Zoe kind of love only in Him. If you love Him and make Him your personal Saviour, you will be complete and lack no good thing. God loved us first before we loved Him, always know that He knew us before we were even formed in our mothers womb, trust in God and trust His timing.

Have you felt like you have reached a dead end? Like everything seems to be falling apart and everyone has deserted you and you are ablaze with the issues of life. Don’t worry the future is certain and bright because He lives we can face tomorrow.

As l’m writing this to the world the Holy Spirit is ministering and l feel that there are so many souls who have given up on life. Do you feel like God is quite and very far, not hearing your prayers ?Listen dear sister, God is saying He has heard and hears you, rise up and continue to look unto Him. I can see open doors for so many coming through right now. I speak life and l release strength in Jesus name. Say this out loud, l can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Glory!!

God loves you.

How great is your goodness which you have stored up for those who fear you which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you – Psalm 31:19 NIV.

We are people of influence and we must impact lives with the Gospel of Jesus.

Whatever the situation you might be going through. The Bible urges us to pray without ceasing. We ought to be feeding our minds with the word of God and by so doing our doubts and fears will be starved, then we can come out as victors.

Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. – Philippians 4:6 NIV

Taking our cares, fears, hopes, dreams, careers, work and anything in our sphere to God and not to worry about it, praying and thanking God that He has granted us victory. He is able and l have never seen the righteous forsaken. With Jesus everything is possible. He cares, cast your burdens and worries unto Jesus. My sister, look to Jesus when the going gets tough, take it to Him in prayer and trust Him to lead the way.

Jesus knows best, He didn’t bring you this far so that He can leave you. Grace has put us ahead of everything in life and we can not be disadvantaged so fear not. There are people right now reading through this post, God is saying you you mustn’t give in, He knows you all by name, even the very hairs on your head have been numbered. What greater love ! He has engraved you on the palm of His hands. God has not forgotten about each one of you. He has planned and perfected all that concerns you. God is saying fear not, He has not forsaken you at all.

I had so many reasons to give in and maybe hit a dead end, but He has been holding my hand before l was even formed in my mother’s womb. He is Jehovah, my deliverer and protector. If it had not been Jesus maybe by now, I would have been long dead. I love you Jesus, my own shield.

I sought out the Lord and He answered me, He delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant their faces are never covered in shame – Psalm 34:4-5 NIV

He is God and He does so much for us. Some of the troubles He delivers us before we even get into them. He enables us to win in every adversity. The days might be darker on your side but God has perfected all that concerns us. Keep moving He is for you and nothing can be against you.

Some of the things, I cannot tell them all and sometimes when l just feel like He has done a lot for me, He keeps on doing great and amazing things. His love endures forever, unchanging God that’s who He is.

He knows all you want before the desire even arises in you. God never abandons His own. Sometimes it feels as if He is so far and not hearing our prayers, He does and He will be working behind the scenes. When the going gets tough Jesus sticks closer to us and shows us the way. Everything about Jesus is awesome just the mentioning of His name makes my day.

I was young and now l’m old, yet l have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always generous and lend freely their children will be blessed – Psalm 37:26-26 NIV.

Worry, anxiety and depression are all the fiery darts of the evil one. It’s God’s plan for us to live in happiness and peace.

No matter what may be going on, in your life at the moment choose to be happy in Christ Jesus. The Bible tells us to count it all joy. In every situation you might find yourself in continue to rejoice in the Lord.

Consider it pure joy. My brothers whenever you face trails of many kinds. – James 1:2

Even when passing through tribulations God wants us to consider it pure joy. Joy is happiness expressed, this brings peace in our life which Jesus gave to us all, his special peace. The devil wants us to worry about life circumstances, been busy focusing on the unnecessary pressures of life and all the negativities around thus it will steal our joy, love and happiness. When all this is stolen from us we become vulnerable to all his deceiving lies. However, God is love and He gives us happiness to take along with us in order to conquer all.

A happy person is always calm and a calm person always hear from the Lord and does great things to himself and to those around him. I have never seen a happy person living in God’s word who will never conquer in this life, her path is upwards and forwards only. Choose to be happy.

If you have a cheerful heart, God will pour more into your life and he will use you to impart lives to the end of the world. Even if all around you is like blazing fire and the heat is too intense count it all joy and continue praising God, he will lift you up and you will not smell of smoke from the fire around you.

Anger is the opposite of being happy, staying angry will only destroy you the carrier and not the person you are angry at. Continue meditating on the promises of God in His word you will be happy at all times.

Therefore my heart is glad and my tounge rejoices my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave nor will you let your Holy one see decay. You have made known to me the path of life, you will fill me with joy in your presence with eternal pleasures at your right hand. – Psalms 16: 911

Social media platforms and news networks have made people numb, as they find themselves hanging onto every word, trusting and believing the reports by man while failing to trust the word of God, sometimes even falling into the trap of thinking that the Lord has forsaken us. But it’s not like that at all. God is always with us amidst the storms we face. Even if when you feel like He is so far away and silent, God is always near and with us.

Fight the good fight of faith, no matter the fierce winds which are bound to blow, we continue keeping our gaze on Jesus. We are not moved by why we see for all this is temporal and soon to change. I chose the faith way and you should too, l have never seen the righteous forsaken, so do not be afraid as out Father is always with us. All the noises in the world will be silenced and soon end, and the name of Jesus will be exalted forever.

People are going through a lot of depression and anxiety disorders. You and l have the duty to preach the gospel of Jesus to the end of the earth. Bringing back hope to the people who have lost hope. Proclaiming the good year of the coming of the Lord. Jesus is alive and saves lives. We ought to stand in the gap and save lives, it may be at your workplace or even your community! Dear sis, bring back the lost hope in the people around you. It is doable.

I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from. My help comes from the Lord the Maker of heaven and earth. – Psalm 121: 1-2 NIV

The book has been designed for use with the companion his/her Love Talk workbooks. They have segmented the book into three parts which I found so informative.

Let’s talk about talking

Communication, if used to its full advantage, holds the promise of bringing two people together to a level so profound that anyone on the outside can never truly comprehend. This book is the result of many years of research, and it will show you exactly what the authors discovered. It’s a deep and simple plan for everything a loving conversation has to offer. Drs Les and Leslie want this book to be an effective tool for any and every couple who wants to find a better way of speaking each other’s language.

More than any other measure

Couples gauge the depth of their connection by the satisfaction of their conversations but some couples routinely underestimate the importance of talking. Study after study indicates that improving your communication increases the quality of your relationship more than anything else you do. The authors also go on to explain how vital quality communication is to your relationships and show you how bad communication can spoil a good relationship. Whether a relationship sinks or swims depends on how well partners send and receive messages and how well they use their conversations to understand and be understood.

Good communication keeps the relationship alive

Time and talk are always a winning combination. Good communication requires time to talk – it simply cannot happen while you are travelling at breakneck speed. So cure your hurry sickness, take a deep breath and obey the speed limit of human connection. If you want to improve your communication you must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your conversations. Misunderstanding usually does not result from not hearing the words but from not clarifying the meaning of the words.

How you say the things you do

How you and your partner react to change makes a huge impact on your conversation. Whether you know it or not, much of your daily conversation centres on change. Negotiating change is one of the four big conversational topics every couple encounters. No matter how resistant to change a person might be, one specific type of change is always welcome. It’s a type of change that ties itself to loyalty and rather than threatening a person’s emotional security need, this kind of change actually bolsters it. Changing one’s ways to become a better person overrides even the strongest resistance to change because it brings about devotion and cultivates commitment.

Enjoy Love Talk

“A good heart and a good heart are always a formidable combination”. Words by Nelson Mandela, he could have been talking about intimate relationships. A couple who tunes into this powerful combination discovers a new depth in their conversations, a new way of connecting together. Take a moment right now to fully immerse yourself in your partner’s world. This will take just 10 minutes or so and could very well change the way you view one another.

Whatever He has promised, He makes sure everything comes to pass, no matter how long it may take. We are still pushing in this Covid-19 era. Sisters, it really matters whose report you believe. God is faithful to fulfill it all.

God heard the baby crying, and the Angel of God called Hagar from heaven and said to her, what is the matter Hagar. Do not be afraid, God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for l will make him into a great nation. Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water so she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink. – Genesis 21:17-19 NIV.

Ishmael was Abraham’s son the father of many nations. God has spoken a word upon Abraham’s life and blessed him. That he shall have as many descendants as the stars of the sky, why? Because he was a man of Faith, he was God’s friend and was always pleasing the Lord. Even though Ishmael was not the promised son for him and Sarah. He was conceived after Sarah decided to help God with all His plans upon Abraham. Although it was not so God did not stop the blessings from flowing to Ishmael. and to become a nation because God had promised Abraham that he shall become a father to many nations which was to be achieved through Abraham’s offsprings, Ishmael included. Indeed God is a promise keeper, and we can see it through Ishmael. He doesn’t change whatever He has promised us, He will make sure it comes to pass no matter the circumstances we might find ourselves in.

What is it that the Lord has promised you? What is that word that He has spoken upon your life? Trust His timing it will definitely come to pass. Our Father is a Promise Keeper, all promises are still yes and amen in the name of Jesus. You might not see anything yet but that doesn’t mean God is not doing anything. He is actually preparing you for greater heights. He is the God who performs His word upon us all.

Always trust in God and never lean on your own understanding. He is able and apart from Him, there is no other place that our trust can be strong and secure. Jesus is the rock of ages lets stand on Him for all other places is actually sinking ground.

Trust in the Lord will all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3: 5-6 NIV

He set us apart and ordained us for such times as these. We are His Chosen Generation, a royal priesthood and peculiar people.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. – 1 Peter 2:9 NIV

We belong to God, which means we are protected and find strength in knowing God’s got our back. He loves us with an everlasting love and nothing can take us by surprise because we belong to the royal family above. Nothing can destroy or defeat us because we belong to Jesus. No force is stronger than the force that lives within us.

God is for us and nothing and no-one can be against us. We were born for such times like these, so it’s important to remember that everything happening was designed not to defeat us but rather for us to conquer and win. Whatever the world might be going through is nothing compared to the fact that we belong to God and He will always protect us. This too shall come to pass.

Then my enemies will turn back when l call for help. By this l will know that God is for me. – Psalm 56:9 NIV

In God l trust so l will never be afraid. Nothing man can do will ever compare to the covering the Lord provides. He promised to never leave nor forsake us, so no matter what you do in life, always remember that God is for you and He has consecrated you and you are His for life.

Fueled by their passion for helping families, the two worked together to write this book with the hope of providing families with 12 essential tools to help improve home life.

Have you ever watched a home improvement show, on television? The most exciting part of any home improvement show is the big reveal – that moment when a drab, run-down house becomes a breathtaking new home. What if you could have that with your home life? Just like those shows, this book has empowered and reminded me that I don’t need a new family, but rather, I need a new set of tools to help improve family life, and more specifically, help teach us to communicate more effectively with our family members.

Is it really possible to have the home life you want with the people you love?

That’s what the DIY Guide is all about. In it, you’ll find practical tools for transforming your home life and dramatically improving your family’s culture from Shannon Warden and Dr. Gary Chapman, author of the New York Times #1 Bestseller The 5 Love Languages®. Each chapter teaches you a new home life skill and pairs it with a home improvement metaphor that makes it fun and easy to remember.

You can’t hire a contractor for this work, but if you’re willing to put in the sweat equity (hard work), you’ll see results fast. Don’t wait any longer. Get started today and give your relational space the renovations it deserves.

Here are the tools I will be adding to my family’s toolbox:

Building Kindness
Share the load, the laundry load that is.

I think we all hope that your children grow up knowing how to share and get along with others, so we shouldn’t delay in teaching them the practice of kindness. Remember that if we fail to understand each other or learn to offer help especially when it’s needed the most, we can’t grow and work together in unity. Everyone would like to build a family less selfish, kinder, and more considerate, so make sure to add kindness to your home improvement toolbox and more specifically, consideration of your family’s needs.

Increasing Gratitude
Floors are made to be walked over, loved ones are not.

How we choose to respond to patterns of disrespect either enhances or chips away at our relationships. A willingness to apologize is a beneficial relationship tool that makes it easier to appreciate and support one another in our home improvement efforts. Research has consistently shown that gratitude contributes to better mental and physical health. Gratitude is a hallmark of positive relationships. Family is the most important place for people to feel that they belong and are appreciated.

Cultivate Love
Love tears down walls.

We can only improve our relationships and our home life by tearing down the emotional walls we’ve put between each other. No matter how busy we are, we simply cannot afford to put our physical and emotional closeness on hold for too long. By increasing love, you and your loved ones will feel more inclined discuss matters of the heart more openly as you feel safe and cared for. Remember, hammers can help to remove walls, but love helps to remove the emotional walls that separate and distance us from one another.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. – 1 Corinthians 13.

Seeking Compromise
We can afford to disagree on colours, carpets, fixtures and faucets, they never go out of style.

Family life is full of different opinions. Sometimes we try to bypass conflict by going ahead with our own desires rather than consulting with the rest of the family beforehand, this is also known as the “ask for forgiveness later” strategy. These types of conflicts tend to be left unresolved and can kindle long term problems for couples. Stop fighting and understand that together, you are one team. Conflict is inevitable, simply because we are humans. We have different thoughts, feelings preferences, and opinions. This is where the home improvement tool of compromise is so helpful. Compromise can mean finding some middle ground between ourselves and the other person.

Choosing Forgiveness
Termite free and grudge free is the way to go if we want our houses and our home life to stand the test of time.

Resentment is a strong word and it often involves long-standing bitterness because of something we feel has been done to us. Resentment sneaks into our relationships before we’re even aware it’s happening. Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door of resentment and the hard cuffs of hatred, so we have to learn to forgive if we want to live happily ever after. We don’t have to be perfect to have a good marriage or be a good parent. But we do have to deal effectively with our failures, which takes learning to apologize, showing grace, and forgiving each other. There can be no long term healthy marriages without apology and forgiveness.

Improving Communication
Everything flows a lot easier through unclogged pipes. Are your lines of communication clear, clogged, or leaky?

Clear lines of communication are those in which people avoid confusion by listening with the hope of understanding and responding in supportive ways. Clogged lines of communication are those in which we are not effectively expressing ourselves or listening to others which leads to confusion. Leaky lines of communication are those in which we confuse others, by expressing ourselves with too much detail, too much drama, too much “me” talk. Do we love our loved ones enough to start listening and speaking to each other with respect, kindness, patience and love even in hard times?

Enhancing Trust
We can control thermostats’ we can’t control people.

Trying to control everything and everybody around us is not sustainable long term. We tend to waste precious energy while damaging precious relationships by trying too hard to control every aspect of our family. The wise use of the tool, “trust” will lead to a decrease in control-related problems at home, which means saving more of your energy for you and your family. Parents will need to trust their children with more age-appropriate opportunities for self-control. Children will need to trust that their parents have their best interests at heart when they allow or limit various freedoms.

Developing Compassion
The light of compassion is a light families can afford to leave on all the time.

If you and your family want to decrease hurtful responses, then get your toolbox ready for the tool of compassion. You may think of compassion as something you only show to the powerless and needy, but really, it’s a tool that will only help to grow your family and make it stronger than ever before. Dedicate time for each other to talk, listen, and validate each other’s feelings and ask how you can help. With increased compassion, we’re more willing to see and respond to each other’s emotional hurts with more kindness and sensitivity.

Increasing Patience
An open-door policy is only as inviting as the person on the other side of the open door.

Anger is not a wrong emotion – we should respect it and honor it. However we often do the wrong things when we are angry. Patience pulls us together, while impatience only further contributes to anger and pushes us further apart. Mismanaged anger destroys marriages, hurts children, and fractures friendships.

Getting Organized
Keep this; don’t keep that.

Decluttering our homes (and minds) helps to free up space that we forgot we had. Certainly, each family’s definition of disorganization and organization will vary, but generally speaking, most families function best when they have some level of organization or order.

Creating Fun
What good are city parks, walking trails, toys and games if we don’t actually use them?

You may feel tired at the end of each day; working, juggling extracurriculars, packing school lunches while making dinner, and ensuring your kids are bathed and ready for bed, and often it may feel like you’re living life through a task list. If this is you, you may feel that your spouse and children wish you would play and relax more. Remember to add more fun to your home improvement plans. You and your spouse need the same thing, of course joining in with your loved ones in their fun doesn’t mean you shouldn’t persue your own fun interests, but spending time creating fun helps build memories, and increases the bond between you, your spouse and children.

Building Connection
The kitchen is the heart of the home, connection is the heartbeat.

Emotional connection opens the door to the possibility of helping each other reach our goals and purpose in life. Connection with our family truly is the emotional nourishment that sustains us in life. You need to learn to recognise that life is short and that you have the amazing privilege of supporting each other as you live out your purpose-driven lives together.

This book was incredibly helpful and encouraging and has made an impact on how I approach my own family life. I highly recommend families check it out and start adding to their toolbox soon!
